I made it to Colorado last night about 17:00, very warm compared to Alaska, so there was that much to be happy about if nothing else! A good friend of mine meet me at the airport along with the deploying unit. After grabbing a bite to eat, we settled into our open bays; better then basic, but still had that mind set.
Tuesday morning was all about in processing, the BN and the CO. It took a little after noon to finish up with everything and to find out that I am in Alpha Co. Once again, I found myself surrounded by great people! This deployment is bound for excitement, laughs, hard fast paced work, and loads of memories!!!
As for now, it's nothing more then day by day due to the plans changing all the time, but it makes it a bit more exciting that way as well. Not knowing what is happening next has it's moments of stress, but at the same time you can't help but think that your done for the day and they are doing nothing more then thinking if there is anything else that can be completed for the day. This day, the first main day, I can say is done and then some. Take care, I miss you all hope keep you in my prayers!
