Well, as time has pasted, I've come to find out that everyone is just along for the ride. Me to be included in that group, I was just hope for something more then sitting around for hours, waiting. We have been here for a week now and things are getting better. Less sitting around, more group things to be done, then, down time. As a matter of fact, today I took a 3 hour nap. I was amazing! You may be asking why a nap if nothing is being done; well, since we have been here we have yet to do pt. For some wild hair of an idea, today our group, 15- 20 people, were told by our group leader we were doing pt at 5:30. Okay, get something going I guess, nothing wrong with that, humm, except the altitude! WOW, pt is completely different up here. LoL, everone was gasping and were soooo done with pt before we even hit the 2nd work out. It was funny and sad at the same time, you couldn't help but laugh because of the effects. However, it hit us all hard; needless to say, I was not the only person taking a nap with the down time.
We have our tough boxes now and get all of our gear tomorrow that we will be needing, or the remainder of it anyways. Our box and one of our duffel bags has to be good to go by Friday. That's when were loading them up to start their journey, they go by sea, so they wont be there for another 3-4 months which really makes you thin about what you put in them. Some of the officers have even more of an issue then that, they are only there for 6 months, so they wont get their stuff till their mid tour, then they aren't allowed to keep the boxes like the rest of us, which leaves them with even more stuff to find a way home and would most likely have to send it home; which would be money out of pocket, but it would have to get home. I'm just glad I'm not in that boat, it would suck big time.
We are getting Thanksgiving off starting the Wenesday before till the Sunday afternoon, which is great for the most part; there are families here taking in soldiers for Thanksgiving day which is way cool in my book! Then comes the issue of the Barracks were staying in, someone has to pull CQ, which were goinng to be the people that are stationed here, however I have placed my name on the list, I have a friend up here who would bring me food and what not, plus this let's thoes people stay at home with their families. I had the chance to go home twice, a third time might be a bite harder for me then I'm wanting. I'm in a good place of mind, happy with where I'm goinng and how I left my family and friends. No reason in stiringthe water again.
I will be working in the out patient clinic of Orthopaedics, haven't had a chance to meet the doc yet, but I have meet the other tech, she is really nice, I have no doubt I will enjoy working with her. I will do better with keeping up on this from here on out, sorry for the week of lag, till next time, God Bless and stay safe, always love your friends and family, and thank you for everything!

Colorado, Day 1
I made it to Colorado last night about 17:00, very warm compared to Alaska, so there was that much to be happy about if nothing else! A good friend of mine meet me at the airport along with the deploying unit. After grabbing a bite to eat, we settled into our open bays; better then basic, but still had that mind set.
Tuesday morning was all about in processing, the BN and the CO. It took a little after noon to finish up with everything and to find out that I am in Alpha Co. Once again, I found myself surrounded by great people! This deployment is bound for excitement, laughs, hard fast paced work, and loads of memories!!!
As for now, it's nothing more then day by day due to the plans changing all the time, but it makes it a bit more exciting that way as well. Not knowing what is happening next has it's moments of stress, but at the same time you can't help but think that your done for the day and they are doing nothing more then thinking if there is anything else that can be completed for the day. This day, the first main day, I can say is done and then some. Take care, I miss you all hope keep you in my prayers!
